Alternatively, you can call/text me on 07707294613. I may not be able to answer straight away if I am in sessions or unable to talk privately, but I will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.
We will talk about what brings you to see me and what you would like from therapy, as well as running through the therapy process. It is a chance for you to see whether we are a good fit to work together and for you to ask me any questions you may have. If we decide to work together, we will either go through a short, written contract, or I will send it to you electronically afterwards. Consultations typically last 40-50 minutes and my fee for them is £25.
Therapy sessions are unique to the individual. You are the expert on you, and so the sessions are your time to come and talk freely. I will be led by you, and so we can work on the material you bring and at your pace.
As an Integrative therapist and Personal Consultant, I will listen attentively and in a supportive way, work with you to consider underlying issues or patterns in life, and help you consider your thoughts and feelings in new ways. We may explore issues at greater depth using various techniques we have decided on together and embark on a reparative journey.
If you are looking to make specific changes, we can also generate any goals and strategies to achieve them.
Yes - sessions are confidential. However, as per the BACP Code of Ethics, there are some exceptions to this, being that if there is a risk of harm to yourself or to others.
In line with BACP requirements, I have the support of a clinical supervisor to discuss my work. Confidentiality is maintained and your identity will not be disclosed.
The duration of therapy can differ, and for certain issues we could agree to work to a set number of sessions, however deeper change can require a longer commitment. Often it is helpful to start in an open-ended way and regularly review progress.
